Why are we collecting your personal data? (Purpose): Your personal data (and that of your child) and all other information you provide on this form will be used to manage and coordinate the application process to BFIS.
Lawful Basis: the lawful basis to process your personal data (and that of your child) is processing necessary, at your request, prior to entering the contracts you will be required to sign if your child qualifies during the application process and is offered a space at BFIS (i.e. the Educational Commitment Contract and Enrollment Contract. Both contracts are available at www.bfischool.org/admissions/application-process, Step 4 Enrollment, Formal Acceptance).
Special Category of Personal Data: some of the data requested (or that you may submit) during the application process is health data considered by the GDPR special category data. Special category data requires your explicit consent. Please tick the box below if you give BFIS your explicit consent to process special category personal data for the purpose described.
Recipients: BFIS will not share or disclose your personal data with any third party.
Transfers of personal data to third countries or international organizations: BFIS, for the purpose mentioned above, will only use processors providing sufficient guarantees to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures in such a manner that processing will meet the requirements of the GDPR. BFIS will transfer data to Managebac LLC – Open Apply, who will process it on behalf of BFIS under a data processing agreement according to the GDPR. Managebac LLC – Open Apply is certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework thus the transfer ensures an adequate level of protection.
What are your rights with respect to your personal data? (Exercise of rights): You have the right to request access to, rectification, erasure of personal data, restriction of processing, object to processing, as well as other rights contained in the GDPR and/or applicable legislation, in writing to the Controller and/or Data Protection Officer.
